Pandemic very tough trial, solidarity key - Mattarella

(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 21 - The COVID-19 pandemic has been a "very tough trial", and solidarity has been key in weathering it, President Sergio Mattarella told the 49th Italian Catholics Social Week on Thursday.
    "Selfishness came out defeated by an affair in which solidarity stood out as the key to address and resolve problems, to support the full development of the human personality, starting from the defence of life," he said. (ANSA).
