(ANSA) - Rome, June 9 - Pope Francis on Tuesday set up what
he called a 'work dignity' fund in Rome.
As bishop of Rome, he said, he had decided to institute the
fund, dubbed "Jesus Divine Worker".
It will give Rome's branch of the Caritas charity initial
funding of one million euros.
The fund aims to support people who have been hit by the
economic crisis deriving from the coronavirus pandemic.
In particular, said Cardinal Vicar Angelo De Donatis, is
aimed at "those who risk being excluded from institutional
safeguards", whether existing ones or new ones set up by the
government,
