(ANSA) - Palermo, February 21 - Palermo Archbishop Corrado
Lorefice on Thursday called for an end to the infiltration of
the mafia into religious organisations.
He said the heads and members of confraternities of the
Palermo diocese must not have a criminal record, especially
mafia crimes, and cannot be Freemasons.
Msgr Lorefice's call was put into a decree published Thursday
on the archdiocese website.
