(ANSA) - Vatican City, July 30 - The Vatican said Monday
that Pope Francis has accepted the resignation of Philip Edward
Wilson as archbishop of Adelaide after he was convicted for
covering up child sex abuse.
On July 3 Wilson was sentenced to 12 months in prison for
covering up abuse by a paedophile priest in the 1970s.
