(ANSA) - Vatican City, December 6 - Pope Francis has chosen a
picture of Giotto's Nativity in the Basilica Inferiore of St
Francis in Assisi for his Christmas wishes this year, the Holy
Convent's press chief father Enzo Fortunato said Tuesday.
The Biblical statement accompanying the picture is taken from
Isaiah: "A son has been given to us...the Prince of peace".
Father Fortunato said Francis "looked to Assisi because St
Francis was the one who invented the Nativity scene".
