Holy Year coordinated by New Evangelization Council ends Nov 20

(ANSA) - Rome, November 8 - The number of pilgrims who have travelled to Rome for the Pope's special Jubilee of Mercy has passed the 20 million mark, the Pontifical Council for the Promotion of the New Evangelization announced Tuesday through the official Holy Year website. The new updated figure is of 20,208,539 "participants in the Jubilee in Rome", according to the website that keeps track of all pilgrims who have registered to pass through the Holy Door in St Peter's Basilica. The Special Jubilee of Mercy began on December 8, 2015 and ends on November 20.
