(ANSA) - Belluno, August 25 - Pope Francis and the Catholic
Church maintain that asylum seekers must be welcomed, Vatican
Secretary of State Pietro Parolin said Thursday.
"The pope and the Catholic Church insist on an attitude of
openness and welcome," the cardinal said. "Solutions must be
found based on this".
Solutions must be sought together since the flight of
thousands from war and destitution is a large-scale problem that
involves "our entire world," Parolin said.
