Vatican seeks volunteers for Jubilee

(ANSA) - Vatican City, October 16 - Monsignor Rino Fisichella, who was chosen by Pope Francis to direct the Vatican's Jubilee of Mercy Holy Year, released a video appeal for volunteers Friday on the Italian-language version of the Jubilee Year website.
    "We need you, we need many young people, many men and women to give a little bit of their time for a one-of-a-kind experience, to be volunteers and give support to all of the religious pilgrims who will come to Rome from all over the world," Fisichella said.
    The Jubilee of Mercy begins December 8, when Pope Francis will open the Holy Door of St. Peter's, which is opened only during Jubilee years, and runs until next November.
