(ANSA) - Vatican City, October 6 - Pope Francis on Tuesday called on the "ministers" of the Lord to overcome rigidity and have mercy during Mass at the Saint Martha's guesthouse where he lives in the Vatican before going to the second day of work of Synod on the Family. "Where the Lord is, there is mercy," the pope said. "And Saint Ambrose added 'where there is rigidity, there are His ministers - the stubborness that challenges the mission, that challenges mercy". The pope has called a Holy Year devoted to mercy that starts in December.
