Pope say Gospel language needs an update

(ANSA) - Vatican City, May 29 - Pope Francis announced on Friday that it is "essential" that the language of the Gospel "be renovated".
    "The Mission is always the same", Francis said, "but but the language demands to be renovated with pastoral wisdom" because "it is essential to be understood by contemporaries and because Catholic tradition can speak to the cultures of today's world".
    The pontiff was speaking at a plenary council in Rome.
