Church must be 'more missionary' - pope

(ANSA) - Vatican City, March 6 - The Catholic Church must be "more missionary" or risk its "waters stagnating," Pope Francis said Friday.
    "On various occasions I have insisted on the need for the Church to move from a pastoral of simple conservation to a decidedly missionary pastoral," he told members of the Neocatechumenal Way (NCW) in the Vatican.
    "This is the most important thing to do if we don't want waters stagnating in the Church".
    NCW, also known as the Neocatechumenate or colloquially The Way, is an organization within the Catholic Church dedicated to the Christian formation of adults.
