(ANSA) - Vatican City, December 15 - Vatican Secretary of
State Pietro Parolin on Monday expressed the Holy See's desire
to see humane solutions for inmates that make it possible to
close the Guantanamo Bay detention camp during a meeting with
United States Secretary of State John Kerry, Vatican Spokesman
Father Federico Lombardi said. Lombardi added that the Holy See
"looks favourably" on the option of closing the camp, containing
detainees from the war on terror.
