(ANSA) - Vatican City, September 24 - Pope Francis amused
the faithful at Wednesday's general audience by agreeing to
field a baseball thrown to him by an admirer.
The ball slipped through his grasp and his skullcap slipped
back as he lunged for it.
The head of the Vatican gendarmes was on hand to act as
backstop and block it with a smile.
