New York cardinal hails pope 'facelift'

(ANSA) - New York, September 4 - New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan said Pope Francis has given the Catholic Church a "facelift" in a Wednesday interview published in a Boston Globe debut blog. "For a guy like me who's pretty nuts and bolts about things, I'd send the pope a dozen roses because he's helping me do my job better. He has succeeded in giving the Church a facelift", Dolan told Crux editor John Allen.
    Crux is the Boston Globe's newly launched Catholic news site helmed by Allen, a 16-year former journalist at the National Catholic Reporter and author of nine books on the Vatican and Church affairs.
