(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 29 - Italy won gold in the women's foil
team event at the Fencing World Championships in Milan on
Saturday.
The Italian quartet of Alice Volpi, Arianna Errigo, Martina
Favaretto and Francesco Palumbo beat the French quartet 45-39 in
the final.
It is the ninth Italian medal at the World Championships in
Milan, and follows the gold, silver and bronze won by Volpi,
Errigo and Favaretto respectively in the individual event of
this edition. (ANSA).
