Volleyball: Italy ends Nations League group stage in victory

(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 8 - Italy's men ended the group stage of the Volleyball Nations League with a victory on Saturday, beating Japan 3-1 (29-27, 28-26, 23-25, 25-20) in Manila, Philippines.
    Italvolley coached by Ferdinando De Giorgi, which had already qualified for the knockout stage starting July 19, will have to wait for Sunday's matches to know their opponent in the quarter-finals of the final eight.
    Captain Simone Giannelli and his team-mates finished the preliminary phase with nine wins and three defeats. (ANSA).
