(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 5 - Luciano Spalletti's stunning Napoli side dominates ANSA's Serie A team of the season after a superlative year in which they ended the southern city's 33-year wait for the league title and finished 16 points ahead of their nearest rivals, surprise package Lazio.
    Inter, who won the Italian Cup and have reached the Champions League final, have two representatives while Lazio, AC Milan, Juventus and AS Roma have one each.
    Ivan Provedel (Lazio): the best goalkeeper in Serie A with 21 clean sheets in 38 games.
    Giovanni Di Lorenza (Napoli): the magnificent captain of the scudetto-winning team, the right-back was regularly among the best on the field and also lent a hand coming forward with three goals and four assists.
    Kim Min-jae (Napoli): had the tough job of replacing Koulibaly, and the South Korea centre-back was more than up to the challenge, with his strong physical presence, agility and ability to anticipate the opposition's moves.
    Chris Smalling (Roma): a sumptuous campaign by the centre-back.
    Roma's defence leaks goals whenever he is absent.
    Federico Dimarco (Inter): the versatile wingback took a year to establish himself at Inter after a season with Verona, but he beat off competition from Robin Gosens to bag a starting slot and produced a sensational season with four assists and four goals.
    Stanislav Lobotka (Napoli): the Slovakian's hard work and sacrifices were what kept Spalletti's midfield ticking.
    Sandro Tonali (Milan): Milan's defence of the title they won in the 2021-22 season was effectively over by Christmas, but the classy midfielder's level of performance never faltered despite the shortcomings of the rest of his team. The only player from last year's team of the season to keep his place.
    Adrien Rabiot (Juventus): played a big part in enabling Juve to make European Conference League qualification despite a 10-point penalty with personality, class and a touch of aggression. The Frenchman scored eight goals, served up four assists and collected nine yellow cards.
    Lautaro Martinez (Inter): despite some up and downs, the World Cup winner was devastating in front of goal when it most counted. He has 28 goals in all competitions this season, including braces against Fiorentina, Cremonese, Lazio and Verona.
    Victor Osimhen (Napoli): Serie A's top scorer with 26 goals, the protective-facemask-wearing Nigerian is the symbol of the title triumph.
    Khvicha Kvaratskhelia: bought for 15 million euros a year ago, the 22-year-old Georgian winger who has been compared to George Best is now worth almost 100 million. He scored 12 goals, including two penalties, and laid on 10 assists as he proved himself to be one of the most exciting players in international football. (ANSA).
