(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 3 - Fiorentina ended their Serie A season
with a convincing 3-1 victory in an away match against Sassuolo
at Mapei Stadium in Reggio Emilia on Friday evening.
The win gave the Florence-based team 56 points, consolidating
their eighth position in the table ahead of Saturday's match
between Torino - currently in 9th place with 53 points - and
Inter.
Vincenzo Italiano's men are now preparing for their Conference
League final against West Ham on Prague on Wednesday.
"Today the men carried my words onto the pitch: our goal was to
go to Prague with the enthusiasm shown here," Italiano told Dazn
after the match.
"We have ended the championship with a win and a great away
match. Now we must put our minds to the final match: (it will
be) difficult, but we wanted to get there with this enthusiasm,
and we succeeded," he said. (ANSA).
