(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 21 - Ducati's MotoGP world champion Francesco Bagnaia said on Sunday he has a fracture in his right ankle but that the injury will not prevent him from racing in the Italian MotoGP in Mugello on June 11.
"When I got back from Le Mans, I kept feeling pain in my right ankle," tweeted the reigning champ and standings leader, who crashed out of the French Grand Prix at Le Mans on My 14 after being rear-ended by Aprilia's Maverick Vinales. "I decided to undergo a further medical check at the Misano medical center, which found a partial fracture of the anklebone.
This will not prevent my participation in the next Italian Grand Prix," he concluded. (ANSA).
