(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 29 - Italian DIGOS special security police on Monday arrested six fans after clashes between Monza and Udinese supporters after Friday night's 2-1 away win by the Friulans in Monza.
During the clashes, ultras threw broken bottles, stones and other objects at each other.
Three fans were arrested from both clubs.
They have been charged with aggravated affray.
A police officer was hurt in the clashes, which took place outside the U-Power Stadium in Monza.
The arrests were made by Digos from Monza and Udine, in Monza, Udine, Pordenone and Venice.
According to police, around 20 Udinese fans, on board four minivans, stopped outside the stadium and started throwing broken bottles, stones, flag sticks and uprooted road signs at some 30 Monza fans, who replied in kind.
They were stopped by police, one of whom sustained injuries that will take 10 days to heal.
Newly promoted Monza is one of the most prized possessions of 85-year-old former AC Milan chairman and three-time premier and media magnate Silvio Berlusconi. (ANSA).
