(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 17 - World record holder and world
champion Thomas Ceccon of Italy won the gold medal in the 100m
backstroke at the European aquatics championship in Rome
Wednesday taking Italy's golden haul to 18, nine ahead of
second-placed Ukraine.
Greece's Apostolos Christou came second and France's Yohann
Ndoye Brouard third.
It is Ceccon's third gold of the championships. (ANSA).
