Swimming: Italy lead Euros with nine golds

(ANSA) - ROME, AUG 16 - Italy currently top the medal table at the European Aquatics Championships in Rome with nine gold medals.
    They include two from Simona Quadarella in the 800m and 1500m freestyle.
    The Netherlands is second with four golds and Hungary and France joint third with three.
    Britain, Sweden and Romania are joint fifth with two.
    The championships have two days to go, Tuesday and Wednesday.
