(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 24 - Double Olympic champion Marcell Jacobs will race the 100m in the Italian championships in Rieti Saturday, the El Paso born Italian sprinter said on his Instagram page Friday.
It will be his second 100m race since winning the blue riband event at the Tokyo Olympics last year.
Jacobs, 27, who also won the men's sprint relay gold in Tokyo, is gearing up for the world championships next month in Eugene, Oregon.
Jacobs recently returned from injury after winning the sprint at the indoor world championships. (ANSA).
