(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 21 - Italy coach Roberto Mancini has said he is looking forward to 2023 Ryder Cup in a message posted on Friday on the Twitter feed of the Italian Golf Federation (Federgolf).
Italy will host golf's epic biennial battle between Europe and the United States for the first time when it takes place at the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club near Rome from 30 September to 2 October 2022.
"There is just a year and a half to go to the 2023 Ryder Cup and I think it is a marvellous event for the whole country," said Mancini, who led the Azzurri to victory at Euro 2020 last summer.
"Federgolf President Franco Chimenti should be complimented as he managed to bring this event to Italy and that is not a small deal". (ANSA).
