(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 3 - Former Ferrari driver and Formula One
great Michael Schumacher turned 53 on Monday as he continues his
battle to recover from a critical skiing accident at the end of
2013.
The seven-time F1 champ received birthday wishes from drivers
and former drivers, friends and others who shared the glory
years with the Italian glamour team from 2000 to 2004, after he
won his first two titles with Benetton in the mid 90s.
Former Ferrari team princiapl Jean Todt, who recently ended his
term as president of ruling body FIA, tweeted that the German,
who shares the record for number of F1 titles with Briton Lewis
Hamilton, was still an inspirational figure for so many.
"Happy birthday Mikel! On this special day we celebrate a great
#F1 legend and dear friend. Michael @schumacher
you continue to be an inspiration to all of us. My love to you
