Two doctors probed over Astori's death

(ANSA) - Florence, December 10 - Florence prosecutors have issued notification to two doctors that they are under investigation over the death of former Fiorentina captain Davide Astori, sources said on Monday. The doctors work at public facilities tasked with certifying that athletes are fit to play, one in Florence and another in Cagliari, the sources said.
    They are being probed for alleged culpable homicide, the sources said. Astori, 31, was found dead in his hotel room before a scheduled Serie A match in March 2018 after a cardiac arrest.
