(ANSA) - Agrigento, May 9 - The course of the fifth stage of
the Giro d'Italia was changed when a commissioner on a motorbike
was hit by a car Wednesday.
The 48-year-old man was taken to hospital in serious
condition.
The riders travelling from Agrigento to Santa Ninfa near
Trapani were forced to make a detour.
