(ANSA) - Agrigento, May 9 - A Giro d'Italia commissioner on
a motorbike was killed after being hit by a car Wednesday.
The course of the fifth stage of the round-Italy race was
changed.
The 48-year-old man was taken to hospital in serious
condition, and died shortly afterwards.
The riders travelling from Agrigento to Santa Ninfa near
Trapani were forced to make a detour.
