Juve line up Mandzukic, with Tevez

(ANSA) - Rome, June 19 - Mario Mandzukic has agreed terms to join Juventus from Atletico Madrid, Italian media said Friday. Juve CEO Beppe Marotta sealed the deal overnight to replace Argentina forward Carlos Tevez, who is returning to his first club Boca Juniors.
    The transfer is worth some 18 million euros and will see the Croat striker sign a four-year deal with the Turin giants, who recently won their fourth straight Italian title. Juve, who also won the Italian Cup last season and lost to Barcelona in the Champions League final, are expected to make an official announcement soon. Mandzukic, 29, Croatian footballer of the year in 2012 and 2013, scored 12 goals from 27 starts for Atletico last term.
    Before that he found the net 33 times in 54 games over two years at Bayern Munich, where he helped the Bavarians to a Champions League title in 2013. He has 60 caps and 19 goals for his country.
    AS Roma are set to acquire Italian midfielder Andrea Bertolacci and Spanish forward Iago Falque from Genoa, ANSA sources said Friday. Bertolacci, who has made three appearances for Italy, has been with Genoa since 2012. He is a product of Roma's academy and the two club's currently have co-ownership of the player.
    The Rome side, who have qualified for the group stage of the Champions League after finishing second in Serie A last season, have reached a deal with Genoa to buy the half of the 24-year-old's contract that they do not already own. Falque, a 25-year-old who scored 13 goals in Serie A last term, is also moving south as part of the move, which will cost a total of 15 million euros, sources said.
    Inter Milan, meanwhile, have reached a deal to sign Brazil defender Miranda from Atletico Madrid, ANSA sources said. The 30-year-old centre-back is set to move on loan for two seasons, although the Serie A side will be obliged to make the transfer permanent at this end of this period, in a deal worth around 12 million euros. Miranda will undergo a medical in Chile, where he is taking part in the Copa America with Brazil, before Inter made the move official, the sources said. Inter have also signed another central defender, Colombian Jeison Murillo, from Spanish side Granada. The three-time European champions, who finished a disappointing eighth in Serie A last season, announced Friday that former midfielder Dejan Stankovic is their new team manager. "I am honoured to be coming back to Inter," said the 36-year-old, who was assistant coach at Udinese last season. "I am thrilled and excited because I've always said these colours will remain on my skin forever," added the Serb, who won five Serie A titles, four Italian Cups, the Champions League and the Club World Cup during his 2004-2013 stint at Inter. "I cried the day I realised I wouldn't be pulling on the Nerazzurri shirt anymore. "I'm back here now, with a sense of pride and determination, to do my best for the club in a different role".
