(ANSA) - Rome, February 25 - Italian windsurfing champion
Alberto Menegatti has been found dead in his home in Tenerife,
Spain, sources said Wednesday.
The 29-year-old 2013 PWA Slalom Windsurfing vice champion
may have died in his sleep due to a sudden illness.
Spanish authorities will conduct an autopsy to the
ascertain cause of death.
"Alberto was not only a champion but also a great friend,"
said Italian Association of Windsurfing Classes President Carlo
Cottafavi.
"No word or gesture will lessen the pain of this loss".
