(ANSA) - Genoa, January 27 - Samuel Eto'o on Tuesday completed a move from Everton to Sampdoria, returning to Serie A after his glory year with Inter Milan's 2010 treble side.
"I've signed for three and a half years," he tweeted in English after his presentation by the Genoa side.
Sampdoria got the former Barcelona, Chelsea and Inter striker on a free transfer from the Toffees.
The 33-year-old four-time African Player of the Year won three Spanish league titles and two Champions League crowns with Barcelona between 2004 and 2009.
He helped Inter complete an unprecedented Champions League-Serie A-Italian Cup treble in 2010 and also twice lifted the African Cup of Nations with Cameroon.
Sampdoria are fourth in Serie A and are in the race to finish in third to qualify for the Champions League playoffs.
