(ANSA) - Milan, December 16 - Azzurri coach Antonio Conte on
Tuesday said he would not resign as head of the national soccer
team. "I have made a commitment to people," said Conte, denying
rumours that he was planning to leave the position. "This
commitment means so much that I exclude that possibility," of
resignation, he said. Earlier, Carlo Tavecchio, FIGC
president, said Conte is in a "very solid" position as coach of
Italy's national soccer squad.
