(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 14 - Abortions fell 9.3% to 66,000 in
Italy between 2019 and 2020, a parliamentary report said
Tuesday.
The fall was seen in all geographical areas and all age groups,
the report said, although it was slightly higher among younger
women and foreign ones.
The exact number of abortions in 2020 was 66,413, at a rate of
5.4 for every thousand women between the ages of 15 and 49, down
6.7% on 2019.
The rate is among the lowest on the international level. (ANSA).
