(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 7 - Italian energy price hikes may top the
almost 200 billion euros of the EU-funded post-COVID National
Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) next year, Ecological
Transition Minister Roberto Cingolani said Monday.
"The increase in the cost of energy risks having a total cost
next year above that of the entire package of the NRRP," the
minister said at the third stage in Genoa of the travelling
event "Tomorrow's Italy: Dialogues On the National Recovery and
Resilience Plan".
"So the NRRP hasn't protected us from everything," Cingolani
said.
Energy hikes are hitting Italy as hard as other countries in
Europe and around the world. (ANSA).
