New COVID norms for schools and pass duration set to be OK'd

Unlimited Green Pass for triple jabbed

Redazione Ansa

(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 2 - The cabinet is set to examine new COVID measures for schools and the duration of the Green Pass health certificate on Wednesday.
Mario Draghi's government will base their decisions on recommendations from the CTS scientific advisory panel, and the 'control room' task force, both meeting shortly before the cabinet Wednesday evening.
The task force recommended an unlimited duration of the pass for those who have been triple jabbed, or those who have recovered after two does of the vaccine.
The CTS committee said quarantine for unvaccinated students should be halved from 10 to five days after coming into contact with a COVID case.
The COVID 'control room' taskforce said after the CTS meeting that children from age zero to six should go into distance learning if there are more than five virus cases in their class.
The rightwing League party is dragging its feet on a move to make distance learning obligatory for the unvaccinated, calling it "discrimination".
Cabinet will also review the state of implementation of the 200-billion euro EU funded post COVID National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), with three ministers reportedly under scrutiny for their progress on dossiers. (ANSA).
