Venice flood barriers to take 18 mts to complete from March

(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 26 - Venice's MOSE (Moses) flood barriers will take 18 months to complete from March, the sustainable transport and infrastructure ministry said Wednesday.
    Some parts of the system that have suffered external damage will take slightly longer, it said.
    Despite not being completed, MOSE has already been operation for about a year, saving Venice from acqua alta (high water) floods.
