(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 20 - Italian pharmacists are to give
COVID-19 tests out of hours and on days when their pharmacies
are closed to meet a surge in demand caused by mandatory
workplace health certificates, COVID Commissioner Francesco
Figliuolo told Italian regions Wednesday.
He told the regional governments to help pharmacies "to continue
to carry out the rapid antigenic swabs beyond opening hours and
on days of closure".
The federation of Italian pharmacists guilds (FOFI) said the
move was made on its recommendation.
FOFI said pharmacists "will succeed in exploiting this
opportunity to make the service even more effective and
efficient". (ANSA).
