(ANSA) - Campobasso, November 28 - The skeleton of a cousin
of the wooly mammoth was found in the Sila region of Calabria
recently, sources said Tuesday.
The complete skeleton of Elephas Antiquus was found by a
Molise university team led by Antonella Minelli.
"It's an exceptional find," they said.
It was the first such find in Italy.
