Syringe cost standardised across Italy

(ANSA) - Rome, January 27 - A health spending review has set a standard cost for needles and syringes across Italy, sources said Friday. According to a tender just completed by civil service procurement agency CONSIP, a standard syringe for injections will cost between 0.049 a 0.063 euros depending on its size, 70% cheaper than the reserve price.
