(ANSA) - Rome, October 22 - The first European Union
research hub for the study of earthquakes and volcanoes will be
headquartered in Rome as of 2019, officials said Wednesday.
The European Plate Observing System (EPOS) will coordinate
and integrate data from 24 European countries, filling a void
because so far each country has had its own earthquake
monitoring system.
