Avoid escalation in the Middle East says G7 in Capri

(ANSA) - ROME, APR 19 - The final communiqué of the meeting of G7 foreign ministers in Capri called for all parties involved to seek de-escalation.
    "In light of the news about the raids on 19 April, we call on all parties to work to prevent further escalation," it said.
    "The G7 will continue to work to this end. We call on all parties, both in the region and beyond, to offer their contribution to this effort.
    "We call on Iran to refrain from supporting Hamas and from taking further actions that destabilize the Middle East, including support for Hezbollah and other non-State actors.
    "We call on all countries to prevent the supply of components for Iranian drone and missile programmes." (ANSA).
