Turin uni hit by #MeToo protest

(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 12 - A #MeToo protest swept Turin university Monday with female students marching through the arts faculty and holding a meeting in the atrium in the wake of the recent suspension of a philosophy lecturer accused of molesting his students and the arrest of a forensic pathology lecturer on charges of sexual violence.
    "Some of the girls are fearing reprisals," said the organisers of the protest.
    Teaching staff voiced their solidarity with the demonstrations, which take their name from the protest movement that started in the US entertainment industry against widespread sexual abuse by actors, directors and other male authority figures. (ANSA).
