Rai denies contact with farmers for Sanremo

(ANSA) - ROME, FEB 7 - Rai state broadcaster on Wednesday denied protesting farmers' claims that they were in touch with organisers of the Sanremo Song Festival and would probably appear there later this week.
    The Rai press office "categorically denies having had any kind of contact with the farmers" who asked for hospitality on the stage of the Sanremo festival.
    Artistic director Amadeus has said he would be happy to host farmers' reps at the week-long musical jamboree.
    A farmers group said earlier Wednesday that they were sending 15 tractor to Sanremo and would likely appear at the Ariston Theatre on Thursday. (ANSA).
