(ANSA) - ROME, OCT 23 - Maurizio Fugatti of the rightwing
League Party was confirmed as president of the autonomous
province of Trento with almost 52%% of the vote on a broad
centre-right ticket compared to 37.5% for his centre-left rival
Francesco Valduga.
Overall, the centre right got more votes than at the last such
vote in 2018.
Premier Giorgia Meloni said on X: "The united centre right
brings home another great result. Compliments to Maurizo
Fugatti, re-elected president of the autonomous province of
Trento, and happy working to him and all the team". (ANSA).
