(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 5 - The association of magistrates from Italy's Audit Court on Monday reiterated their "clear" opposition to the government's move to curb its 'concomitant' powers on the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP), only leaving it powers to control spending after the event.
In a statement, the financial justices said their association "reiterates its clear opposition to the regulation that removes the projects of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan from the concurrent control of the Court of Auditors".
The court also repeated its opposition to the second move contained in a decree on public administration to be put to a confidence vote Tuesday: the exclusion of administrative liability for grossly negligent conduct by both public and private entities".
They two moves, it said, were aimed at "effectively reducing the protection of public finance".
