(ANSA) - ROME, JUN 2 - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky
on Friday sent a message to Italy for its Republic Day
celebrations and reiterated his gratitude to Rome for its
support following the Russian invasion.
"Congratulations to Giorgia Meloni and the Italian people on
Italian Republic Day," Zelensky said via Twitter.
"We appreciate Italy's solidarity and full support in the
defence of Ukraine's sovereignty and independence.
"Today Ukraine is fighting for European values of democracy and
freedom, which we share with the Italian people.
"Together we will achieve our common goal: a just and
sustainable peace in Europe and the world!" (ANSA).
