(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 31 - A government move to amend the powers
of the State Audit Court was presented Wednesday in an amendment
to a decree reforming the public sector and civil service, the
chair of the Lower house labour committee, ruling rightwing
Brothers of Italy (FdI) MP Walter Rizzetto, announced.
It has been widely reported that the government plans to curb
the court's oversight powers after the justices criticised
delays in the implementation of the National Recovery and
Resilience Plan (NRRP) and some tax policies.
The government is set to meet court officials on Wednesday.
