(ANSA) - ROME, MAY 17 - Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin
will have lunch with Democratic Party (PD) leader Enrico Letta
and 5-Star Movement (M5S) leader Giuseppe Conte in Rome on
Wednesday, the two parties confirmed on Tuesday.
Marin is visiting Italy for talks with Premier Mario Draghi.
Letta and Conte have both said they are in favour of Finland and
Sweden being admitted to NATO after Russia's invasion of
Ukraine.
On the other hand, League leader Matteo Salvini, whose party,
like the PD and M5S, is part of Draghi's broad ruling coalition,
has expressed doubts about approving the two countries' bids to
join the alliance. (ANSA).
