(ANSA) - ROME, JAN 19 - Anti-establishment 5-Star Movement
(M5S) founder and stand-up comedian Beppe Grillo was on
Wednesday sent to trial starting June 13 for allegedly attacking
the Italian TV journalist Francesco Selvi.
News of the indictment came a day after the
comedian-turned-politician was placed under investigation in a
separate case, regarding suspected influence peddling over
advertising contracts in 2018-19 with the Moby shipping company,
led by his longtime friend and ship-owner Vincenzo Onorato.
