Cabinet launches domestic violence bill

(ANSA) - ROME, DEC 3 - Cabinet on Friday launched a domestic violence bill aimed at combating rising levels of violence against women and femicide.
    Among other things, the bill lays down a jail term for any offender who tampers with electronic bracelets in order to reoffend.
    It also says police may take action in suspected case even if the victim of violence does not report it. (ANSA).
